Sailing School
The first Latin sailing school in L'Albufera in Valencia emerged in 2015 in the Port of Catarroja, in response to the concerns of a group of members of "Els Peixcadors", who had long been looking for effective ways to preserve the tradition of artisanal uses of fishing and navigation on the lake.

It is so much more than learning how to handle traditional boats. For those who do not belong to the Port of Catarroja, there is also a very interesting component of discovery, knowledge of the environment, water management, the traditional fishing and agricultural exploitation of the lake, and the recovery of flora and fauna. native.
Awards
Some people in the scientific field of education have considered that the work we do in our small Latin Sailing School in the Port of Catarroja has a social significance and an educational value. It may be for this reason that in 2017 the Official Association of Pedagogues and Psychopedagogues of the Valencian Community and the Professional Conservatory of Music of Valencia awarded us in 2017 the Education and Society Award in the Sports category. We believe that we only preserve and disseminate traditional values. But this award recognizes in our work a decisive contribution to the development, education and cohesion of our society.

If we seek our roots to know who we are, and we want to transmit to subsequent generations our signs of identity as a form of social cohesion, as a form of sustainable development that our ancestors practiced, as a form of preservation and knowledge of the natural environment, the Parc de L 'Albufera, there is no choice but to bring Latin sailing to school, or turn our Latin Sailing Association into a School.

Homologation of our School by the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community. Saturday, January 27, 2018. In Port de Catrroja, the 1ª degree as regional monitors of Latin Sailing was given to the people who have been working very seriously and selflessly for four years to make our school a reality.
Although it is not an official degree with professional validation, we now have an educational project, a teaching method and results recognized by the corresponding official bodies. This success opens the door to those who seek to increase the training project in the traditional arts of Latin sailing in L’Albufera. We hope to facilitate the path of those who share our values.
